When looking at the image we cannot avoid thinking about happiness. It presents a moment full of joy.
The women dancing by forming a farandole give the image a dynamic effect. While looking at the camera lens with a big smile, they enhance the action of Sergeant Gene Constanzo who kneels to kiss a little girl during this historical celebration. We might think by looking at them, that they are related, like father and daughter, but it is not the case.
This tender and pure moment seem so delicate because of the little girl, Noëlle who also rests her knees but on a little white napkin. A beautiful moment captured forever.
