Lost fight or high standards
In December 2015, the 196 nations agreed at the Paris climate to reduce global temperature rises below 2C with an aspiration to limit rises to 1.5C above pre-industrial levels. However, this promise has not been fulfilled since the limit has been doubled causing heating of at least 3C.

This devastating news has caused several protests like the one in this image. Glasgow protesters’ are of all ages, but especially young people. “Youth strike for climate” states one of the posters held by a teenager. Young generations can also take action on climate change.
We can see on the protesters’ faces how disappointed they are by the broken promises. Full of people, the image might give a claustrophobic feeling. The clear part of the image at the bottom and the fluorescent yellow of the vests of the four people in the foreground draws attention not only to them but also to the banners. What is more, the blurry effect on the top of the image, draws more attention to the people in the front and it makes it seem like the mass of people is endless.
